Jack Hussey Charity Ball: organised by Jack’s parents to raise much needed funds for research into cancers which affect children and young adults and is in aid of Cancer Research UK. Jack was an Old Birkonian who lost his life to cancer in 2016, aged just 19. Jack started this fundraising in his final weeks and to date has raised over £120,000 and supported four research projects.

Charity auction with star prizes including a cycle ride for three cyclists with famous cycling TV presenter ‘Oliver Bridgewood’ from the Global Cycling Network

Joan Lockhart Funeral

Former pupils of Birkenhead Preparatory School will be sorry to hear of the death recently of Joan Lockhart, who taught at the School from 1951 until 1995.

Committal will take place at Landican at 10.30am on Thursday 28th November, followed by a service of thanksgiving at 11.30am at Birkenhead School Chapel and then refreshments at Wirral Golf Club, Bidston Road.
